With the global shift to a low carbon economy and the need to reduce carbon emissions as a priority as part of the Paris Climate Change Agreement. We have now seen a great development across the APAC region to enhance national carbon emissions policies in CCUS and hydrogen within the industrial sector.

The APAC CCUS & Hydrogen Decarbonisation Summit will assess and review the opportunities within the Asia and Pacific Energy Sector, and review the different policies set out by the Government of Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia on their CCS road map via shipping and storage opportunities as well as this reviewing how green hydrogen can ensure off energy security for each while hitting decarbonising matrixes. The conference will also review how CCU & CCS can decarbonise the energy intensive sectors that are hard to decarbonise while creating a circular carbon economy.

The APAC CCUS & Hydrogen Decarbonisation Summit will focus on the implementation of CCS, CCUS within industrial operations and how hydrogen can decarbonise industry and transport, the summit will bring together 300+ government officials, regulators, key industry stakeholders, leading academia and service companies.

Sessions One and Two

Session 1 - APAC Energy Net Zero Strategy

This session you will hear presentation from key government officials on their decarbonisation pathway, while also hearing from international experts and lessons learnt from overseas to ensure the region can accelerates its decarbonisation pathway.

Session 2 - Energy Transition & Demand

It is now pivotal the South East Asia to accelerate energy transition and review energy prices and demand. Within this session we will explore the demand for cleaner energy to ensure Asia is on track to hit its next set of net zero targets. We will discuss the different energy vectors that are available and where they are best placed to ensure of decarbonisation. We will also review the ongoing energy demand and review the different options available for energy transition.

Sessions Three and Four

Session 3 - Projects in CCS or CCUS

With CCS and CCUS playing an important role in reducing carbon emissions in the power sector, CCS is the only current option to substantially decarbonise emissions intensive sectors. This session will discuss how the commitment from different governments has accelerated investment within CCS & CCUS and look how different technologies can play and important role to decarbonise the energy intensive sectors industry. You will hear from end users on how they plan to utilise these technologies to reduce their carbon emissions across the hard to abate sectors.

Session 4 - CCS Pipeline & Infrastructure

This session will review how lessons learnt from overseas for CCS storage for EOR or an offtake of carbon from local countries installing a cross-border collaboration for CCS. Also so discussed will be viable CCS shipping routes and storage options from the biggest emitters in the APAC region.

Session Five

Session 5 - Investment & Economics

This session will look at green investment across the APAC region the across the CCU, CCS and hydrogen sectors and the economic benefits to additional sectors.

Sessions One and Two

Session 1 - Hydrogen Production & Projects

With APAC needing to ensure its own homegrown energy for the future this session will review the different green hydrogen production projects across the APAC region. Also, with the hydrogen rainbow colour spectrum in place we will also look at the different ways to produce hydrogen.

Session 2 - Hydrogen Infrastructure Storage & Transportation

With global leaders backing hydrogen as the fuel of the future to ensure their energy security strategy, this session will look at what storage options are available and discuss the different hydrogen blending options. The session will also look at the opportunities with exportation and importation of liquified hydrogen or ammonia.

Session Three

Session 3 - Port Exportation & Importation Infrastructure

With many ports across the UK now enabling energy transition, this session will review the opportunities for the APAC region has to export or import ammonia, liquified hydrogen or methanol as a hydrogen carrier. The session will also review what infrastructure is needed and what challenges need to be addressed.
