Growth and expansion

Due to significant developments in renewable energy generation and storage and the global energy transition, DWF's Global Energy team made several key hires in the UK and its international offices to bolster its already robust team. Energy experts who joined in 2024 include, Franco D'Andrea, Gary Walkling, Jayne McGlynn, Jonathan Kirkwood, James Bryce, Poupak Anjomshoaa, Brian Kotick, Roisin Patton, Alan Bissett, Steve McNab, Chris White and Michelle Headrige in the UK, with Francesco Angelini joining in Rome, and Claudio Rodriguez working across multiple jurisdictions in the UK, Europe, and Latin America.

Speaking on the team growth at DWF and wider developments in the market, Darren Walsh, Global Head of DWF's Energy Sector, said, "With the climate emergency, the drive for sustainable and secure energy, and the push for responsible and sustainable business, our clients demand a fully integrated, global and sector-focused service to meet their growth ambitions. The growth in our Global team reflects where the market is headed and the opportunities many companies in the sector will face in the years to come. DWF's Global Energy Sector team is best placed to support and advise clients in this essential part of their business strategy."

“Our global energy team provides mission critical advice to clients across the industry, helping them to meet the demands and complexity of the low carbon transition. These appointments add to our industry expertise and relationships, and importantly at a time when hands-on project experience and a deep knowledge of energy supply and security is paramount."

“From nuclear power, an important transition fuel, to the expansion of renewables and storage technologies, DWF is committed to a best-in-class approach for clients, and one that is capable of genuinely servicing decarbonisation, net zero, and sustainability projects from end to end.”

The appointments coincide with the delivery of DWF’s Renewable Energy Atlas, which directly supports clients and their strategies, by highlighting key growth markets to initiate the expansion of renewable and net zero carbon energy projects.
