Dan Rawdin is the current chair of the Energy Institute Hydrogen Committee. Within the Energy Institute he also sits on ( having also previously chaired) the Power Systems committee and sits on the Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee and its associated vice chairs group.  He also currently chairs the (CATCH) Humber Major Hazards Network.

With 25 years experience working across Chemical, Steel and Power Sectors Dan is currently  the Risk and Process Safety Manager for SSE Thermal and is also Process Safety . I technical Authority for the Thermal Business. He has worked in management and support roles across the SSE Thermal business over the past 13 years and has extensive Process Safety Engineering and Risk Management experience. This has involved chairing Hazard studies/ Process Hazard Reviews, Enterprise Risk Management, writing Technical Safety cases and providing independent technical input to key projects , including those associated with transition to Hydrogen and Low Carbon technology.
