Dr. Ashwani Dev serves as the Digital and Data Science officer for Landmark Halliburton with more than 14 years of active oil and gas industry experience. He has served Landmark and Halliburton in various leadership roles including Halliburton Digital Solutions, Product management and strategy, global services and smart platoons. In his previous role as Big Data strategy manager, he formed and operationalized the oil and gas first Big Data Center of Excellence for Halliburton. Dr. Ashwani developed corporate executive education program around big data analytics. He evangelizes the role of digital transformation and big data analytics plays for the next generation E&P. Before joining Landmark Halliburton, he worked as the research geophysicist for Ion Geophysical and wireline engineer for Halliburton. He has been the editor of Leading Edge as well as invited speaker at various analytics, geoscience, engineering and technology conferences. He has published in peer reviewed journals and conferences, and, holds multiple patents in the field of machine learning in various aspect of oil field life cycle. He has a doctoral degree in geophysics from the University of Texas at Dallas and a masters in geophysics from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India.
