Dr Julian Pickering is CEO of Geologix Systems Integration Ltd. He is an industry expert on digital transformation, focussing on drilling and production operations, and has authored many technical papers and journal articles. He was chairman of the ATCE 2014 Digital Energy Sub-committee (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), chairman of the ATCE 2017 Digital Energy Sub-committee (San Antonio, USA) and the former chairman of the WITSML Executive Team. He previously worked for BP for 32 years and was the head of global digital drilling and completions and lead BP’s Field of the Future facilities programme.
