For the last 10 years, I have been one of the lead design engineers for the UK’s national standard for fluid flow and density measurement within TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory. I am currently the Digital Services group lead within our R&D Department. I have recently obtained a doctorate in Engineering (EngD), which was the result of a four year joint research project between National Engineering Laboratory and Coventry University. I also have a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and am a chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Prior to joining NEL, I was an electronic engineer at Robotics designer Clansman Dynamics Ltd where I designed, built and commissioned the control hardware and software for use in robotic manipulator systems used in the forge and foundry industry.
