Ian Robert Hunt is the Tachyus Sr. Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia and is responsible for all International business, including financial performance, business development and operational excellence. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Hunt was Vice President of Business Development for Halliburton in the Middle East and North Africa Region across all 12 Product Service Lines. Mr. Hunt has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and has held a variety of operations and business development management roles. He started his career in 1986 as a Physics Lecturer at the Sultan Qaboos University in Oman and the following year joined the Oil Industry. He worked for Baker Hughes for 20 years in a variety of Operational, Sales and Operations leadership roles, in Europe, Middle East and the USA. He then had a year establishing a Strategic Consulting business for a major O&G software sales company in the MENA Region before joining Halliburton in 2006 as MENA regional manager for the Wireline and Perforating Product Service Line or PSL. He joined Tachyus in 2016 Mr. Hunt holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Southampton University in the United Kingdom, with specialization in nuclear physics. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts.
