Joana works in EY’s Strategy practice, with experience across energy and infrastructure and a particular focus on how value is created and managed between government, IOCs and the oil and gas supply chain. Joana is responsible for delivering growth strategy projects across emerging markets, and has worked with a number of companies looking to invest and deepen their presence in Guyana.

Prior to EY, Joana worked for an investment bank, for a public policy think tank, for a governmental institution in Ghana and in policy for the UK House of Commons. Joana holds a Masters with Distinction in Public Policy and Administration and a BSc with Honours in Economics and Government, both from the London School of Economics. She completed her thesis on the policy drivers for avoiding corruption in oil producing states, with a particular focus on Nigeria.
