Joseph Bailey is currently Head of Projects at Grenian Hydrogen which is a joint venture between Progressive Energy, Statkraft and Foresight. As Head of Projects, he is responsible for the development of Grenian’s 200MW electrolytic hydrogen portfolio which includes the Cheshire Green Hydrogen Project which is currently in bilateral negotiations with Government as part of the HAR1 process. As Head of Projects he is responsible for all elements of project delivery including commercial, engineering, planning and permitting. Joseph has a background in technology and project development having started his career within the Gas Processing and CO2 abatement team as part of the Shell Projects and Technology organization. As part of that role Joseph completed FEED on the World’s largest sour gas project (Hail and Ghasha) as well as providing operational support to Pearl GTL and a number of European midstream and refinery assets. He then moved to Recycling Technologies where he was the Project Manager for the RT7000 which was their flagship commercial demonstration project for the process of plastic waste into novel chemical feedstocks using a patented chemical recycling process. As well as his project manager role Joseph was also the Head of Product Engineer which involved the management of a team of 28 engineers across the Mechanical, Electrical and Control and Instrumentation disciplines.
