Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the Energy Industry. Previously 8 years in Operations followed by 6 years in R&D as head of robotics.
Currently responsible for the integration of robotics at an operational level and automating inspection processes end to end combining machine learning and digital twin technology. Plus advancing Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLoS) unmanned aerial system functionality for applications including methane measurement.
Extensive knowledge of the design and certification requirements of equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX/IECEx).
Previous responsibilities include management of an international robotics competition called the ARGOS (Autonomous Robot for Gas and Oil Sites) Challenge creating a world first autonomous robot certified for use in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
Member of various robotic scientific advisory boards including SciRoc.
