Paweł Gładysz, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels and Project Manager at the Center of Energy, AGH University of Krakow, Poland. Since 2010, he has been involved in numerous research and industrial projects in the areas of thermal engineering, modelling and optimization of thermal processes – primarily focused on carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies and combined heat and power (CHP) systems. His expertise also includes life cycle assessment, both ecological (LCA) and techno-economic evaluations, and energy policy. Between 2021 and 2024, he led the CCUS.pl project, which developed a strategic roadmap for the implementation of CCUS in Poland. Within last years, he also led the Polish-Norwegian CCS Network, which fostered the bilateral cooperation and knowledge sharing. Since late 2024, he has been serving as a co-founder and President of the Board of the CCUS Poland Association. The CCUS Poland Association has been established in response to key challenges of the emerging CCUS market in Poland and is committed to building a sustainable technology chain - including fostering public acceptance and engaging in active, constructive dialogue with all stakeholders.
