Reg Manhas is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Lapis Energy, a private equity-backed carbon management company based in Dallas Texas.  He is a veteran energy executive with a proven track record of building long-term strategic partnerships with business, government and community stakeholders and exercising global leadership on sustainability and governance issues.

Previously, Mr. Manhas built and led the external affairs and sustainability functions at Calgary-based Talisman Energy and most recently at Dallas-based Kosmos Energy and has more than two decades of experience managing complex above ground risks in over 25 countries across 5 continents. 

Mr. Manhas is a Global Fellow at the Canada Institute at The Wilson Center. He also currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for International Business and Human Rights at the University of Oklahoma Law School and is a past Director of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.

Mr. Manhas was appointed by the Government of Canada to the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Nature, on which he served from 2012 to 2018.  He was also appointed in 2007 by the Government of Canada as one of two corporate Advisory Group members to the Canadian National Roundtables on CSR and the Canadian Extractive Sector in Developing Countries.

Mr. Manhas earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering (1989) and a Bachelor of Laws (1994) from the University of British Columbia.
