Dr Ross Compton is the EAME Consultant with EnerGeo Alliance, with a background in Ecology and Marine Science from the Universities of Edinburgh and Plymouth in the UK. Ross entered the geoscience industry in 2005 working with WGP Seismic on the development of passive acoustic monitoring before working in support of marine seismic operations managing marine mammal mitigation services with RPS Energy in the UK for geophysical operations, construction piling and explosive ordnance disposal. Ross has also managed geophysical and geotechnical surveys with contractor Horizon Geosciences. With the EnerGeo Alliance, Ross is responsible for working with member companies throughout the EAME region, as well as liaising with regulators and other stakeholders on key issues affecting the geoscience industry. He is currently studying for an MSc in Energy Policy in his spare time.
