Graduating from Northumbria University, Newcastle in 2006, the early part of his career was spent in regional civil engineering working across Rail, Road, Petrochemical & Energy sectors, throughout the Northeast of England.

 He became a chartered surveyor with the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors (RICS) in 2016 and went on to work in Offshore Wind and cross-country Interconnector sectors both in the UK and the Netherlands, gaining valuable experiences, which have helped overcome challenges in the CCUS industry.

 With a passion for energy transition, Shaun now works on CCUS, Hydrogen and alternative fuel source projects for Costain’s Energy team. He is involved in the Industrial Clusters supporting both developers and the UK Government, in particular the onshore CO2 transportation system for the Teesside emitter network as part of the East Coast Cluster.
