Steve Aitken is the Founder of Intelligent Plant Ltd, a company with the mission to accelerate the use of industrial data for the benefit of the planet. 

He is also a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at The University of Aberdeen, and spends some of his spare time at home prototyping electronics, software and instrumented systems.

He is a supporter of the local area, his company created the Inform prize which awards the best 3rd year Computer Science student presentation and gathers together local businesses to showcase the work from all the student projects and celebrate their achievements.
