Tim Hamers is the Secretary General of ERGaR, the European Renewable Gas Registry. ERGaR facilitates the cross-border trade of renewable gas certificates such as GOs and CoOs between the national registries. Although this includes mostly biomethane certificates at the moment, ERGaR is updating its rules to allow for the cross-border trade of hydrogen certificates as well. Moreover, it provides a network for all stakeholders in the renewable gas certification supply chain. Before starting at ERGaR, Tim worked for several other European industry associations representing sectors such as the weighing industry and agricultural machinery industry.
