Tim Suenson‑Thorp is New Energies Development Manager at Essar Energy Transition (EET) and Stanlow Terminals (STL), leading the commercial and technical development of low‑carbon fuels and energy transition infrastructure at EET’s Stanlow Manufacturing Complex and Tranmere Terminal in the North West, UK. He brings more than 15 years of experience delivering complex, high‑value projects spanning the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), renewable methanol, carbon capture, energy transition, and oil & gas markets.
Tim has led several flagship projects, including currently leading EET’s Stanlow Methanol-to-Jet (MtJ) advanced SAF project – a project supported through the UK Government’s Advanced Fuels Fund (AFF) – as well as STL’s pioneering CO2 import terminal in the Port of Liverpool, helping position the North West as a leading energy transition hub. He has previously held senior development and project leadership roles at Enerkem and KBR, guiding global programmes from concept through FEED, EPC, and operations.
