We represent 850 members who themselves comprise 1,100 separate registered companies and 150,000 trade association members. Founded 60 years ago and representing some of the biggest names in business, household brands and globally traded corporations that employ people in all sectors and across every region and nation of the UK, the CBI is the voice of business.

The Net Zero team at the CBI is supporting the drive for green growth and the transition to Net Zero, by calling for:

• A Net Zero Investment Plan to crowd in private finance
• A targeted green super-deduction for businesses investing to cut their carbon emissions
• A strategic prioritisation process for grid connections

Our Net Zero work demonstrates that addressing these and other related challenges will create substantial economic opportunities for the UK in emerging net zero markets – opportunities of between £37 and £57bn added to GDP by 2030 – if we act now.
