Port Esbjerg

Port Esbjerg is a significant port for offshore wind in the North Sea, serving as the base of the Danish offshore industry and an international hub for multimodal transport with six regular RoRo liner services.

Annually, Port Esbjerg accommodates over 6,000 vessels, manages approximately 4.5 million tonnes of cargo, ships out 1,000 - 1,500 MW of offshore wind capacity, and facilitates the import of around 70,000 cars. Additionally, it hosts over 200 companies, employing around 10,000 individuals. Spanning over 4.5 million square meters, Port Esbjerg is one of the largest ports in Denmark.

Port Esbjerg has a prominent role in the offshore wind sector. To date, the port has participated in more than 62 offshore wind projects, totaling over 27.5 GW of offshore wind. All major companies in the offshore wind industry operate at the port, with offshore wind experience dating back to 2000 when the first major commercial offshore wind farm was installed. The port can manage ten installation projects simultaneously, holds the O&M base for four offshore wind farms, and has one million square meters of designated areas for offshore wind.
