He has 40+ years oil and gas industry experience mostly gained with Royal Dutch Shell in individual contributor and leadership roles in Reservoir, Petroleum and Development engineering in Malaysia, Oman, Denmark, UK and the Netherlands.  Has served as Shell’s Global VP for Development and also Group Chief Reservoir Engineer between 2006-2016. He led Shell’s technical valuation group for New Business (M&A) opportunities and has been board member for joint ventures in the Middle East (Kuwait, Abu Dhabi). Core technical expertise in Field Development, Forecasting at asset and corporate level, Reserves evaluation/management and reservoir modelling and optimisation. Significant experience leading technical reviews of project robustness across the maturation cycle. He is also expert in capability management at corporate level having served as Shell’s Global Staff manager for Petroleum Engineering for a period of four years.
