For the past 5 years David Cushen has led Organisational Development & Learning across Shell’s Downstream Businesses which include Refining, Trading & Supply Distribution, Chemicals, Retail & Commercial B2B. His particular focus is the application of immersive technologies and digital approaches to capability development, competence assurance & knowledge management. Prior to this role David was Vice President HR Strategy for Shell leading HR Transformation from 2006 to 2012 and ensuring a business centric People Strategy. He supported the development of Shared Service capabilities both captive and outsourced, globalising policies, processes & systems, and professionalising Centres of Expertise. Before joining Shell David spent 14 years as a Management Consultant with the Human Capital Practice of Accenture working across a broad range of clients in the Energy Sector with a particular focus on Organisational Development & Change Management.
