David Virant is the head of the Industrial Biotechnology Department at ACIES Bio. He earned his PhD in 2019 at the Synthetic Microbiology department of the Max-Planck institute for Terrestrial Microbiology in Marburg, developing super-resolution microscopy tools and algorithms. He is an expert in bacterial genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and advanced data analysis. At ACIES Bio, he heads the development of novel methodologies for the One Carbon Bio methanol fermentation platform.
