Dr. Wilde currently leads the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Guyana Petroleum Sector Reform programme. He also manages the Commonwealth’s programme on sovereign wealth funds and advises commonwealth member countries on petroleum, mining and deep-sea mining taxation. Prior to working for the Commonwealth, Daniel was the senior economic adviser to Timor-Leste’s Minister of Finance where he worked on petroleum taxation and the management of the country’s $16 billion petroleum fund. He has also worked as a senior adviser for governments in Africa, Europe and Asia on FCO, DFID and World Bank projects.
