David Nevicato has been developing the Danish offshore CO2 storage cluster since the end of 2023. He received his PhD in chemical engineering in 1996 and his engineering degree in 1991 from the École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques (ENSIC). He is a senior professional in the refining and chemical industry with over 20 years' experience in research, processes, operations and human resources. He has worked for CCUS since 2013, mainly in the CO2 capture R&D. He developed the CCUS corporate R&D programme in 2016 and eventually joined the HQ CCS business unit as Head of CCS Business Development in 2021 and then as Head of CCS Strategy, Markets and Advocacy in 2023.
