Dr. Nicolas Manea is an experienced energy professional and currently serves as Business Development Lead in NESO’s Power Responsive team, where he focuses on engaging organisations in flexibility markets and supporting the growth of industrial and commercial participation in balancing and ancillary energy markets. Prior to this, he worked in flexibility markets strategy, with a particular focus on market design, whole-system flexibility coordination, standardisation and digitalisation. Nicolas holds a PhD from Cardiff School of Engineering, where his research explored the use of blockchain to support the digitalisation of flexibility markets.
