James Whiteside is a Director in the Banking and Investments team at the UK Infrastructure Bank where he is responsible for the CCUS strategy.  UKIB was established by the UK Government in July 2021 with a mandate to expediate the delivery of Net Zero and level-up the UK’s regions by investing across the capital structure alongside private capital.  James spent the first decade of his career at Lloyds Banking Group before joining UKIB in August 2022. He led the UKIB’s first direct equity and convertible deals. The bank are actively engaging UK companies and projects to expand their portfolio in this key sector to enable Net Zero.
