Max is an energy executive focussed on driving the energy transition. He is currently Chief Business Development Officer for Getech, where he leads the growth for all of the company’s priority sectors: petroleum, hydrogen, CCS, geothermal, and strategic minerals. He has at track record of forging partnerships with governments, national oil companies, boards and across directorates.
Max started his career at Shell in 1996 and his last role there was Vice President Exploration for Europe, Russia and Caspian. In his time with Shell he directed exploration & energy transition activities in 17 countries and delivered commercial deals valued in excess of $ 2 billon. He also spearheaded an open-source industry standard cloud platform and a digital start-up.
Max is furthermore the chair of the AAPG Energy Transition Forum, and has an MBA plus an MSc in Geology.
Shahab has more than 25 years of process engineering experience in a variety of energy, petrochemical and energy transition projects. Shahab also serves as McDermott’s Global Technical Lead for Green Hydrogen, where he’s engaged in early concept development and detailed engineering scope for water electrolysis projects, with a special emphasis in scaling up capacities and identifying system efficiencies in the balance of the plant. Moreover, Shahab also provides subject matter expertise in other areas of the energy transition, such as Direct Air Capture technologies, and the evaluation of integration opportunities across different sectors and technologies
Shekhar Sumit
Shekhar is Head of Energy Transition at Sizewell C, the company developing the proposed nuclear project at Suffolk, UK. At Sizewell C, Shekhar looks after various workstreams such as wider uses of nuclear energy, regulatory and government support, and investor engagement. Prior to joining Sizewell C, Shekhar was a senior associate in an international law firm’s energy practice.
