Richard Salter is the Global Technical Director of Subsurface for Schlumberger’s Integrated Services Management product line (ISM). Richard is a Petroleum Geologist with 25 years of industry experience who specializes in project management of rapid turnaround multi-disciplinary integration projects. Previously part of Schlumberger’s Global Unconventional Resources team his focus over recent years has been the development of resource assessment workflows for international emerging unconventional plays with numerous successful projects delivered in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, China and South America. He also manages and directs due diligence assessments, working with a dedicated team of senior technical staff, to help advise the company on participation in risk reward opportunities and large-scale production projects. He has most recently been working closely with the Production Platform in Schlumberger building screening and candidate selection workflows utilizing data analytics to manage production performance and intervention programs.

Richard obtained his M.Sc (Distinction) in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London and a B.Sc in Geology from the University of Durham in England.
