Ir. Shazwan Khalid is the Managing Director of Siemens Energy Malaysia, where he leads the company’s strategy and growth across one of Southeast Asia’s most important energy markets. He is responsible for strengthening customer partnerships, advancing operational excellence, and supporting Malaysia’s energy transition through innovation, digitalization, and decarbonization. Working closely with key stakeholders across the public and private sectors, Shazwan is focused on helping build a more reliable, resilient, and sustainable energy future for the country. With more than two decades of experience spanning the energy, engineering, and automotive sectors, Shazwan has held leadership and technical roles at Hibiscus Petroleum, Aker Solutions, Technip, Sapura Technical Center, and BMW’s Research and Innovation Center in Munich. Throughout his career, he has led complex projects, driven business growth, and supported the delivery of innovative solutions across global and regional markets. Shazwan holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaya and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ravensburg-Weingarten, Germany. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
