Shigeru is engaged in providing decarbonization services and solutions to both domestic and international markets through CCUS at Sumitomo Corporation. He is currently responsible for business development in the CCUS sector, with a particular focus on transboundary CO2 movement, also known as Cross-Border CCS, from Japan.
Shigeru has international sales and marketing experience with Sumitomo’s tubular products (OCTG/Line Pipe) and Indonesian LNG, gained through several overseas assignments.
With over 20 years of experience in the international energy industry, Shigeru's expertise encompasses business development, international sales and marketing, supply chain management, and optimized logistics and transportation solutions, all while fostering strong customer relationships.
