An Agriculturalist by training and a member of the Chartered Institution of Water & Environmental Management, most of my career has been spent in the field of environmental regulation with the EA and its predecessors.  I have spent some 32 years regulating industrial sectors, ranging from board manufacturers to Paper and Pulp, Textiles and Food & Drink sectors. More recently I work within the Head Office function overseeing our work on climate change, focussed both on adaptation and net zero/ decarbonisation where we are actively supporting the development of CCuS and hydrogen technologies.
