Yu Kashiwagi is a Principal Analyst at S&P Global, specializing in hydrogen and the broader energy transition across the Asia-Pacific region.
He has over 15 years of experience across LNG, upstream gas, and hydrogen, with a focus on strategy development, investment decision support, and market creation.
He began his career at the Mitsubishi Corporation Group, building a foundation in project economics and asset valuation, and later led hydrogen supply chain and business strategy initiatives at Kawasaki Heavy Industries and the Japan Hydrogen Association (JH2A).
At JH2A, he served as General Manager for a national-scale hydrogen transition program supported by NEDO, leading infrastructure planning, investment analysis, and international collaboration across Japan, Europe, and the United States.
In his current role, he provides market analysis and investment insights to support strategic decision-making for corporates and investors across APAC.
