As General Manager of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) for Shell in the East covering Asia, Africa and Australia, Zharin is responsible for establishing a viable CCS business in the region in line with Shell’s vision to be a net zero emissions energy company by 2050.
 A Chartered Accountant by training, Zharin joined Shell in October 2003 where her 20-year career in Shell evolved on the foundation of diverse commercial roles across Upstream, Integrated Gas and Downstream businesses. Her experience includes LNG market development in Southeast Asia, Upstream commercial contract negotiations, joint venture governance and leading the sales, safety and operations of about 1000 Shell retail stations nationwide in Malaysia. 
A strong advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, Zharin is a Malaysian, mother of two teenagers and enjoys exploring and re-discovering history.
