The CCUS Poland Association is a national hub for expertise and collaboration in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies. Established in 2024 under the initiative of the AGH University of Krakow’s Centre of Energy, the Association continues the strategic efforts of the CCUS.pl project and plays a key role in advancing Poland’s transition toward a low-emission economy.
As an independent and authoritative voice for the CCUS sector, CCUS Poland works at the intersection of policy, industry, and science. Its activities include shaping systemic and regulatory frameworks, advocating for large-scale CO₂ storage solutions – such as the Baltic Sea storage concept – and driving innovation through expert knowledge and cross-sectoral dialogue. The Association also leads public awareness initiatives, positioning CCUS as a cornerstone of Poland’s climate and energy strategy.
With a network of 16 supporting members, including leading organizations from industry, academia, and technology, CCUS Poland provides a strong platform for domestic and international cooperation. Its mission is to deliver actionable expertise, amplify the voice of the CCUS community, and help shape a sustainable and competitive energy future for Poland.
